Meet our Co-Founder, Cathy…
Hi, I’m Cathy, a freelance project manager specialising in brand activations and experiential events.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked across creative, production, and client teams, building experiences designed to bring people together - from large-scale activations to more intimate, thoughtfully designed moments.
A big part of my role has always been about creating environments where people can connect, collaborate, and feel part of something.
After moving to Dublin in 2025, I found myself needing to build a brand new network so I could continue my freelance work. That meant putting myself out there - attending many networking events, trying to meet the right people.
But very quickly, I realised just how outdated existing networking events can be.
Personally, I found them overwhelming and extremely forced. So I wanted to set out to create something better, a series of events where guests have a genuinely brilliant experience and leave with connections that feel natural, meaningful, and worth continuing.
And our Co-Founder, Ben…
Hi, I’m Ben - I am also a freelance event producer / production professional specialising in experiential activation and brand experiences.
With over 13 years working in planning and delivering high profile live events, experiential, promotions and brand activation campaigns, I’ve realised that there is a real gap in the market for a high quality, engaging series of networking events - specifically targeted to putting the right people in the right rooms together.
Along with Cathy, combining our years of experience in the events sector, we believe that networking should be fun, engaging and most importantly offer value to all attendees.
Why Right Room exists...
Right Room was created to offer a different kind of experience. Smaller, more intentional dinners, designed to bring the right people together, and allow conversation to feel natural, not performative.
“It’s overwhelming and hard to connect properly.”
We want to make networking with like-minded people in our industries more engaging, more enjoyable, and far less pressurised.
And after speaking to others, the same themes kept coming up.
People described how overwhelming traditional networking events can feel. For some, it was the noise and the sensory overload. For others, it was the social pressure of walking into a room full of strangers and feeling expected to perform.
People who are neurodivergent spoke about how overstimulating those environments can be, while introverts shared how unnatural and draining the whole experience can feel, even when they genuinely want to connect.
Our research showed that despite meeting many people, individuals were not connecting with those who were the right fit.
People spoke about travelling across the city, showing up with real intention, only to find themselves in rooms that didn’t quite align with where they were, what they needed, or who they were hoping to connect with.
When conversations did happen, they often felt transactional and slightly forced - everyone was saying the right things, but not really connecting.
68% said conversations rarely lead to anything after the event.
We asked how appealing would a smaller, curated event be?

Right Room was created as a response to all of this.
To create smaller, more intentional spaces that bring together the right people at the right time, and allow conversation to feel natural - not performative.
So instead of pushing yourself to fit the room, the room is designed to fit you.
Right People. Right Time. Right Room.
Our Values.
Curated over crowded
We keep dinners small so conversations stay meaningful.
Conversation over pitching
This isn't a place to sell. It's a place to think.
Connection over contact
Less exchanging details, more building something that actually lasts.
